If Your Time is short

The Federal Emergency Management Agency is not giving essential workers $1,000 and, sorry, you can’t sign up to cash in on $2,000 from the federal government every month.

A message being shared on Facebook claims otherwise, but as anyone who has been duped by it can tell you: it’s a hoax.

The post was flagged as part of Facebook’s efforts to combat false news and misinformation on its News Feed. (Read more about our partnership with Facebook.)
