- This video shows a May 2021 Senate Appropriations Committee hearing on domestic violent extremism. Attorney General Merrick Garland testified at the hearing, but he didn’t implore Sen. John Kennedy to "wait for revenge."
A recent video shared on Facebook was billed as high-drama viewing featuring a wailing Attorney General Merrick Garland and an intense Sen. John Kennedy, R-La. Former President Donald Trump’s name is also teased.
"(MUST WATCH): ‘WAIT FOR REVENGE,’ Garland cries loud after Kennedy GRILLS him with Trump’s ‘document’ truth,’" the Dec. 13 post says.
None of this happened.

Rather, Kennedy asked Garland about gun violence in Chicago.
