No, Biden didn’t resign and Trump didn’t replace him
Former President Richard Nixon resigned from office in 1974 following the Watergate scandal, and it’s not a distinction he shares with any other person to serve as commander in chief of the United States.
And yet, a recent Facebook post claims that President Joe Biden has not only resigned — former President Donald Trump has succeeded him.
"Resign has been confirmed Trump is the new president," the June 7 Facebook post says.

As for Trump, while speculation continues to abound about whether he might run for another presidential term, he is, as of now, a former president, and he hasn’t replaced Biden.
