No, a military takeover hasn’t been confirmed

QAnon claims that the military is poised to take over the U.S. government have long proliferated online, and a recent June 9 post is no exception. 

"Military take over on May 11 confirmed!" the post said. 

But it seemed to raise the hackles of some former QAnon faithful who sounded dispirited by the forever-forthcoming promise of a coup.

"We’ve (been) hearing all this for months now but yet no one can show any proof of anything people like you are saying," one commenter said. "So provide truth or stop trying to get people’s hopes up. It just makes everything worse."

Here’s the truth: There’s no confirmation that the military is taking over the government on May 11. This claim is unfounded. Were it valid, there would be news reports and statements from lawmakers about the radical action. There are none.
