Jim Jordan doesn’t insult Adam Schiff in video
During an April 26 House Judiciary Committee hearing, lawmakers focused their attention on Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives policies.
But when a Facebook post shared a 10-minute video excerpt from the hearing, it described a heated exchange between Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, and Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., that might make anyone click the link.
"'YOU ARE NOT EVEN AN EXPERT' Jim Jordan SHUTS UP Adam Schiff After RIDICULOUS 'G..un Brace Rule,’" the video’s caption said.
The post was flagged as part of Facebook’s efforts to combat false news and misinformation on its News Feed. (Read more about our partnership with Facebook.)

We checked the full video of the hearing, and at the 1:31:51 mark, which is the excerpt used in the Facebook post, Schiff was seen yielding back his time.

Jordan then questioned the bureau’s director, Steven Dettelbach. Apart from acknowledging Schiff and saying "Gentleman yields back," Jordan did not speak to Schiff.
We did not find news reports that describe any such exchange during this hearing, though Schiff and Jordan have criticized each other in the past.
We rate the claim that this video shows Jordan quieting Schiff and telling him he was "not an expert" False.
