Marta Campabadal is a reporter at PolitiFact focused on Spanish-speaking misinformation. She originally hails from Barcelona and she came to the United States on a Fulbright scholarship to obtain her Master's degree at Columbia University. Following her studies, she worked for the data-driven newswire Stacker and Mission Local, a local newsroom in San Francisco. She is currently based in Brooklyn, New York. Before moving to the U.S. Marta worked for the Catalan Public Television, for the newspaper La Vanguardia and at the communications agency Folch Studio, among others. She has also worked extensively as a freelance reporter for different Spanish outlets.
